Video feedback system

Inexpensive and easy-to-use computers and cameras now allow the increased use of new multimedia technologies for training in sports clubs and even for teaching physical education in schools.

To operate Simi VidBack all you need a notebook with a FireWire connection (IEEE-1394) and a standard DV camcorder.
Feedback from continuously delayed playback

Scientific tests have shown that feedback is most effective when it is presented within a few seconds after the execution of a movement. Simi VidBack delays playback by the amount of time required for the athlete to get to the computer screen and view his performance. While one person is watching the playback, the next athlete can be performing his movement.
No rewinding, no operating stress

Continuously delayed playback means that there is no time-consuming rewinding of the video tape. Conventional video systems also require the recording to be stopped before it can be replayed, which further disrupts the test procedure. After it is started, Simi VidBack runs completely automatically and requires no user intervention.
Selective, retrospective saving of video sequences

Post-processing of teaching or training sessions often requires selected video sequences of an athlete’s performance. Recording the whole session requires a large amount of memory (approx. 210 MB per minute) and the operator is forced to select and cut out relevant scenes.
With Simi Vidback you can save a video sequence at the touch of a button. After an athlete has performed, the operator decides if the video sequence should be saved and at the same time he can sort the video clips if required. Saving a sequence by remote control is also an available option.
